Last week’s poll on color combinations was really fun - thanks for responding ❤️. It turns out most people are very comfortable with brown/black and navy/black combination but a resounding - never on pink and red. Let’s leave that color combo out of our outfits and in the gardens and sunsets. |  Pink & red belongs in the garden! |
Spotted in Vancouver
Vancouver is one of our favourite cities for a daytime lifestyle and one of the few worldwide where the mountains and the ocean are right together. Fashion wise you will see a broad range of styles from relaxed to high end. This past week we saw everyone was squeezing out the last of the nice weather and clinging onto some summer fashion.

One Fabric at a Time
(Juice up your fabric know how and avoid the online order mistakes.) We chose Poplin this week because of all the interesting takes on collared shirts in Shanghai Fashion week! Thank you to one of our readers who suggested we link a real item with the fabric.
PoplinA plain-weave fabric with a tight weave, traditionally made from cotton, but now also from polyester blends, wool and silk. It is lightweight, durable, and has a slight sheen. Cotton poplin needs less ironing. Common uses: Shirts, dresses, and lightweight jackets. |
Fashion week outfits
Shanghai Fashion Week just wrapped up and wow is this city picking up its fashion credentials. We were speaking to a fashion friend originally from Shanghai and she was raving about the up and coming Chinese designers who were bringing their own take and culture.
